Munaca Resources is a wholly owned subsidiary of Munaca Holdings. It is a modern mineral resources company that was established in 2012 to take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to black owned entities in a mineral rich country like South Africa. As part of our growth strategy, we have successfully built partnerships with local businesses in the resources and energy sectors to supply mineral resources locally and to the global market.

Munaca Resources seeks to connect commodity producers and clients both locally and across our borders. We work with clients to fully understand their resource needs based on their unique resource application and find commodity suppliers to match it.

Two key differentiators enable us to offer our clients highly competitive priced products. Firstly, our in-depth and practical understanding of sourcing, beneficiating and moving commodities gained from the many years of involvement in the resource industry.

Secondly, our ability to optimise our resources and operate at much lower overheads compared to other industry players. Our portfolio of strategic industrial assets and investments effectively supports our core trading activities. Solid off-take agreements are negotiated with mining companies to secure a constant supply of the resources which they are contracted to deliver.

Munaca Resources currently has access to coal mines through which we can supply clients with products to suit their requirements. Iron ore is one of the strategic resources we supply to the local industry. The objective is to support the government’s aim of adding value to mining resources through local beneficiation. Our involvement in the logistics industry is also bringing us closer to a broader array of resources which in future will be part of the portfolio of resources we secure for clients.
